Fire resistant products
GAVO fire-resistant ventilation grilles (type G8) have been developed to enable ventilation in buildings that are subdivided into fire-resistant sections. The gratings are available in various standard versions. Our products are designed to improve or at least match the fire-resistant properties of the element in which they are mounted. The GAVO fire-resistant grilles can be divided into 2 different groups, namely filled with Palusol or based on graphite. Since grilles based on Palusol are not resistant to water impact, they are not suitable for outside grating, see the application column for the relevant products. The space between the grille and the mounting opening must be a maximum of 3 mm and must be filled with GAVO fire-resistant sealant.

G8HB Louvred grille, fire resistant, without frame
These grilles are manufactured from grey synthetic louvres filled with intumescent material. At a temperature of 120° Celsius the louvres swell to many times the original thickness and fuse together to form a non-combustible barrier. PVC profiles with filling based on Sodium Silicate. For indoor application.

G8HP Louvred grille, fire resistant, High Performance
Louvered grilles with a fire-resistant core that swell at temperatures from 140°C and thus prevent the supply of oxygen, so that no draft hole is created. Graphite-based blades. The grille is mounted in a galvanized steel U profile.

These grilles are manufactured from grey synthetic louvres filled with intumescent material. At a temperature of 120° Celsius the louvres swell to many times the original thickness and fuse together to form a non-combustible barrier. For doors of minimum thickness 40mm and maximum 57 mm.
G8P Seal, fire/smoke resistant

G8K Mastic, fire resistant
Fire resistant sealant, water-based, forms an elastic and tack-free seal for indoor applications. In the event of a fire, the connection, which inflates at 120°C, provides a fire-resistant seal.
